Hello!

My name is Erica Walters and I am excited to be on this journey with you and your student.

As Founding Principal of Mater Academy Preparatory, my goal is to create a school community where your family feels welcome and safe the minute you step onto the Mater Academy campus. We will provide excellent instruction in every classroom where your child can learn and be successful for years to come!
There will be plenty of ways to get involved in your child's academic pathway.

About me: My husband Shawn and I have been married for 15 years and are proud parents of Jordan (age 11) and Riley (age 4).
We are settling into our new home in central Ohio and are all excited to join the family at Mater Academy Preparatory.
Charley Barley—our goldendoodle—is very excited to play in the autumn leaves and snow now that he lives up north!

I have been an administrator for the past 8 years and was a teacher for 8 years prior to that in both secondary and alternative education settings within the English Language Arts classroom.  I believe that all students have the right to access quality education, no matter their socio-economic status and geographical location.  It is important to me that my staff treat all students that walk through our doors with the same love and compassion that they would want their own children or family to be treated.
